1951 Races

May 1951, Indianapolis 500

In May 1951, Jimmy once again tried to qualify for the Indianapolis 500.  He tried to qualify the #33 Iddings Meyer-Offy, but made contact in the Northwest corner during practice.

He also tried to qualify for the race in the #47 Merkler Machine Works Offy Special.  He did not qualify this car for the race either.
